TV2 news: Pirate Hunt

When the Norwegian frigate Fridtjof Nansen went on mission in the Bay of Aden during the fall of 2009, news broadcaster TV2 participated with a journalistic team providing reports day by day from the vessel. Knowing our expertise on the naval subject, TV2 news tasked Turbo Tape Games with creating a Google Maps / Flash solution for communication with the public on line. Through the web page, visitors could access time line based data related to the frgates positions, as well as other interesting data relevant to the pirate activities of the area and background information about the situation, mission and equipment in use.

The web pages remained accessible throughout the remainder of the four month mission, and will be used again if the Norwegian navy elects to return on new missions. The journalist reports also cumulated in a documentary that was presented on TV2 before Christmas 2009.
